Acrodyne and Rohde & Schwarz Team Up on Television Transmitter Sales & Marketing
February 25, 2000
In addition to the Acrodyne manufactured line of low, medium, and high power transmitters, we now offer Rohde & Schwarz digital transmitters integrated with an 8-VSB/ATSC modulator and output mask filter as well as analog systems equipped with an NTSC modulator.
Why Rohde & Schwarz…Solid-State Broadband!
Medium to High Power Outputs…Up to 15kW average UHF DTV power - Up to 40kW peak visual UHF analog power - VHF models to 20kW peak visual can be configured for DTV.
Lower Cost of Acquisition…Great combination of solid-state design and power - Low capital cost - Compact liquid-cooled designs eliminate potentially expensive indoor floor space (eliminates need for new construction.
Low Cost of Operation…High efficiency for lower power consumption - High redundancy and PC Interface control reduces or eliminates network manpower needs - Rugged design for lower maintenance costs.
Performance…High performance exciter designs for maximum coverage - Advanced technology LDMOS amplifier designs for best possible linearity (better SNR means better coverage and improved sideband response) - Superior Out-of-Band performance reduces potential for interference - Separate visual/aural configurations for analog service.
Flexibility…Broadband designs allow operation over the entire UHF band - Add power as you need it using solid-state or high power tube technology - Use as future backup transmitter - Redeployable to other network sites as a result of the broadband frequency agile design.
