The dual return modem automatically detects available return path in a one-way or two-way plant and configures it accordingly. These cable modems allow these systems to use whatever downstream bandwidth available and the telephone line for the return. All models provide quick Internet access with no dial up and no busy signals. "Files are downloaded in seconds with speeds up to 100 times faster," noted Morse, "not in minutes."
These modems are designed for plug and play supporting up to 32 users. These SURFboard modems are ideal for small business or a home environment. An Ethernet card and standard HTML browser is the only equipment needed in the subscriber's computer.
