Fox Cable selects SFA's PowerVu Plus

The Fox Cable Networks Group has purchased several PowerVu Plus content distribution systems from Scientific-Atlanta, Inc. (Atlanta), to deliver multiple channels of compressed digital video programming.
The multi-million dollar contract calls for SFA to install two systems in Los Angles and Houston. The contract also includes an order for 500 PowerVu Plus Multiple Decryption Receivers (MDR) which can simultaneously receive and decrypt up to 16 PowerVu Plus channels and supports either 64 or 256 QAM delivery down the cable system.
Fox Cable Networks Group includes more than 20 major domestic cable and satellite networks in which Fox Entertainment Group or News Corporation hold interest.
