Royalty-free NAS Media Server And Software For Digital Home Market Introduced

Mobile, AL - Accelerated Technology announced that together with embedded software provider, Blue Peach, the companies are now providing the an embedded Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)-based Networked Attached Storage (NAS) Media Server for digital home applications. The two companies are also providing integrated development kits for the Intel IOP321 I/O processor and Intel 80219 general purpose PCI processor.

The integration of the Accelerated Technology Nucleus(r) PLUS RTOS and Blue Peach's Blue Stream NAS Digital Media Server with the Intel family of storage building blocks answers the consumer electronic industry's need for a royalty-free and unencumbered license solution for integrating consumer electronics into the digital home. This combined technology provides developers with a scalable and portable platform on which to deploy embedded digital content-aware applications quickly and easily. It also offers robust functionality on an advanced storage controller platform, that results in a cost-effective, fast media server with power-up time of under five seconds.
