New Belden Brilliance Composite Camera Cables Offer Top SDI/HDTV Performance In ENG And Field Applications

Richmond, IN - Belden, a leader in the development of signal transmission products for wired and wireless enterprise networks, as well as broadcast/entertainment, industrial, residential and security markets, recently introduced Belden Brilliance Composite Camera cables, designed to deliver outstanding video and audio functionality to ENG/EFP cameras. Utilizing two industry-leading Belden A/V coaxial cables, and four audio pairs, the new composite camera cable (Product #1347A) is ideal for the interconnection of digital remote field cameras in SDI/HDTV applications.
Belden Digital and Analog A/V Composite Camera cable is a round, smooth cable combining Belden RG-59 Type SDI coaxes (Product #1505A) with Belden single-pair cables (Product #9451) for mic and IFB applications. The rugged new cable is ideally suited for live or recorded on-site news reporting, i.e., Electronic News Gathering (ENG), and for Electronic Field Production (EFP), the on-site recording of videos produced for companies or other private enterprises - for ad creation or training films, for example. Superior Performance and Fast, Easy Installation
The Belden Brilliance Composite Camera cable incorporates two 1505A RG-59 Type SDI coaxes featuring 20 AWG solid .032-in bare copper conductors, gas-injected foam polyethylene insulation, Duofoil plus tinned copper braid shields for 95 percent shield coverage, and Black and White PVC jackets. The coaxes are sweep tested from 5-1600 MHz and 1600-4500 MHz, achieving minimum Return Loss values of 23dB and 21dB, respectively. The result is superior video performance in SDI/HDTV applications.
Construction of the four 9451 audio pairs include: two 22 AWG stranded tinned copper conductors, crush-resistant polypropylene insulation, overall Beldfoil shields for 100 percent coverage, 22 AWG stranded drain wire, and PVC jackets. The overall cable jacket consists of a very rugged and flexible Matte PVC.
The new composite camera cable is extremely flexible, even in low temperatures. Each coax is color-coded for easy channel identification and each of the color coded pairs have a Beldfoil shield bonded to its PVC jacket. For installers, these features result in easier installation and faster termination.
