Alticast Launches Alti Composer Beta Version
March 7, 2001
With the emerging market's growing demand for iTV software systems, Alti Composer is a key component to Alticast's complete interactive TV solution. The Alti Composer Beta Version introduces added functionality and features, such as a set-top box emulation environment for PC, A/V synchronization and added components (effects, actor templates), to name a few. Alticast is currently developing a component development kit (CDK) for the Alti Composer, which will allow any third party to develop or add–on customized components. This feature will be useful to users looking to create or add more customized components that better fit their needs. The CDK will be released in early April 2001. The commercial version of the Alti Composer is scheduled for release in June 2001.
Alticast will showcase Alti Composer and its complete DVB-MHP compliant end-to-end solution, including its Alti Captor set-top box middleware and Alti Synchro data broadcast server at the NAB2001 (National Association of Broadcasters Conference and Exhibit) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Attendees will have the opportunity to pre-order a discounted copy of the commercial version of Alti Composer for a limited time during NAB2001. Alticast will be located in the Sands Expo Center at NAB2001 in booth # E4617, from April 22, 2001 through April 26, 2001.
