BARCO Communication Systems becomes BarcoNet

BarcoNetinform you of major company changes that will ensure future expansion and sustained growth in line with anticipated changes in the market.

Subject to the approval of the extraordinary shareholders' meeting to be held on October 20th, 2000, or, absent the required quorum, on November 9th, 2000, we will become a fully independent company, split from the Barco group. A clear strategic decision to enable stronger focus. Focus that will allow us to provide you with the best multimedia distribution solutions for Broadband and Broadcast applications.

From now on we will approach the market with a new company name: BarcoNet. Subject to the above mentioned shareholder approval, we will list BarcoNet on the Euronext Brussel stock exchange on November 13, 2000.
