Due to ship in summer 2001, Dveous/HD will also be available as an upgrade to existing Dveous systems, offering users a future-proof path into high definition production.
Dveous/HD will have an identical feature set to the already familiar Dveous so that the migration from Standard Definition (SD) will completely be transparent to the operator. "It's still Dveous," commented Jim Barclay, Production Products Marketing Manager for Accom. "There are so many technical directors and editors worldwide who are already familiar with Dveous and we wanted to make sure they could move straight into HD without any additional training. Operators that know Dveous, will know Dveous/HD," concluded Barclay.
Dveous/HD can be configured just like Dveous, either as a single twin or dual twin channel system. Dveous/HD will include powerful high-end features such as, re-Touch™ Color Corrector, Target Framestore, Wide Range DeFocus, SurfaceFX™ with Dual Light Sources, UltraWarp™ and the award-winning OrbitalFX™.
Currently, Dveous is in use worldwide by ESPN, CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, Seven Network Australia and BBC U.K. just to name a few and has been featured in the coverage of major broadcasting events such as the Olympics, SuperBowl, Academy Awards and the Grammy Awards
