The new 2405 series of miniature, portable, 12V DC fiber optic modules from Evertz, provides comprehensive fiber optic signal conversion and new signal aggregation capabilities. Wavelength conversion capability allows cost effective wavelength conversion (eg 1310nm <> 1550nm) to be accomplished in a single module. This allows compatibility between incoming/outgoing feeds and native system wavelengths.

Low cost signal aggregation for indoor, outdoor or remote events is also now possible with the availability of multiple 15XXnm wavelengths on optical outputs. When combined with the Evertz Coarse Wave Division Multiplexer / Demultiplexer, up to eight independent signal types on separate wavelengths can be combined on a single fiber.

These modules, are available with and without side mount flanges to accommodate multiple mounting options. Multiple fiber connector options including SC, ST and FC are also available.

The many features and options available in the 2405 family provide ultimate flexibility and performance for fiber optic conversion or link extension applications. Applications for these modules include:
