<%=company1%> converted two mid-market analog television stations to multi-channel, fully digital systemsall without the loss of any airtime. The stations, WTTO & WABM in Birmingham, and WVTV & WCGV in Milwaukee, are owned or programmed by Sinclair Communications.
AFA designed and built the fully digital television stations with an infrastructure that ensures a smooth transition to DTV. Server based technology forms the core of the multi-channel playout system. In addition, each station includes Dual Master Control Rooms, a Video Intake area, Feed Record and Commercial Insertion/Automation, a Digital Production Control Room, Post Production Suites as well as a Studio to provide for locally originated content.
AFA and CDS coordinated and installed the new system without any loss of on-airtime. Both stations remained broadcasting during the transition.
