The liquid-cooled transmitters deliver output power of up to 29 kW for DVB-T, DVB-H, DVB-T2 and ISDB-T/ ISDBTB. The maximum output power is 36 kW for ATSC and ATSC Mobile DTV, and 58 kW for analog TV. As a result, Rohde & Schwarz offers the highest power density on the market with as much as 15 kW per rack for COFDM standards.
The R&S®THU9 transmitter family attains efficiency values of up to 28 % for COFDM standards and up to 30 % for ATSC, including the cooling system, and consequently leads the market for solid-state TV transmitters. The innovative power amplifier, RF power components with minimal attenuation, special control circuits and the efficient cooling system are the basis for this brilliant efficiency.
The R&S®THU9 transmitter family offers unparalleled flexibility and scalability in an extremely compact design. The family´s portfolio ranges from single transmitters with built-in pump unit and bandpass filter to multitransmitter systems and even N+1 configurations in a single rack. The new operating concept is based on an ergonomic operating unit, straightforward, easy-to-use menus and a convenient configuration guide.
