Digital Video Processor

The VS50 is a professional 10-bit digital processor using two custom Faroudja integrated circuits that apply patented technology to separate the Red, Green, and Blue signal information.

It offers full signal processing controls plus the use of Faroudja's patented Bandwidth Expansion Circuit. Even an S-Video signal can be passed through and fine-tuned for optimum performance.

Patented Adaptive 2D Comb Filter to separate the Y/C signals without introducing dot crawl even with video containing large amounts of motion.

Patented Bandwidth Expansion circuit greatly increases the apparent bandwidth by reducing transition times. This provides edge details only found in higher bandwidth signals.

Two line Time Base Correction to correct timing errors from unstable sources such as VHS and S-VHS tape decks.

Color Automatic Gain Control maintains optimum color levels even with unstable sources.

Full decoding from composite or S-Video to Component (YUV) or RGB. S-Video can be passed-through providing image level and detail processing control.
