MPEG-2 ATM Transport Stream Adapter

Lucent Technologiesner TXA is an MPEG-2 ATM Transport Stream Adapter for broadcast, cable and Internet, allowing network providers to map up to four MPEG-2 Transport Streams across an ATM or point-to-point network. A bi-directional device, the TXA supports remote control of equipment through a single network connection. The TXA transports pre-programmed video from one point to multiple video distribution sites, including cable head ends or over-the-air transmitters.

The product supports a variety of network interfaces. It has an MPEG-2 interface and is factory-configured for interfaces such as DVB/ASI (Digital Video Broadcast/ Asynchronous Serial Interface) and OC-3 (Optical Connect-3). It supports IP networking and serial data communication for control of remote equipment.

Lucent Technologiesner product line interoperates with the Lucent VideoStar line of MPEG-2 encoders and decoders and offers robust solutions for the transport of compressed video over telecommunications networks.
