NewsRepeater

NewsRepeater is our 24 hour news channel automation system. It can be used by a cable TV system or a local television station news department to provide a 24 hour local news channel to subscribers via a local cable TV system, a microwave distribution system or in SDTV multi-cast mode on an HDTV channel.

NewsRepeater records a live newscast and automatically logs the segment timing into a database using exact timecodes on a video tape or disk. It then plays back (or repeats) the newscast with either repeated or newly inserted commercial breaks. It can also signal many different levels of cable operators (regional, city and neighborhood) to perform their local commercial insertions.

NewsRepeater repeatedly plays back the recorded version of the last live newscast until the next live newscast occurs. It runs totally unattended 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Originally designed for tape machines, NewsRepeater is even more dynamic using the video servers on the market today.
