The PME-42V3 plasma multimedia monitor is the first plasma monitor on the market with Digital Video Interface (DVI).

The PME-42V3 connects to any PC. The 42-inch monitor's DVI capability, which eliminates the need for analog conversion, provides superior PC video performance for business or home applications.

Sampo's new monitor comes with both standard USB and RS232 connections, providing flexibility for remote control applications. Businesses using the product in multi-display installations, such as department stores or public sports arenas, can manage the monitors from one location without the need to control each display separately.

In addition to PC applications, the PME-42V3 can support HDTV signals in 480i, 480p, 1080i and 720p formats. Images can be viewed from anywhere in the room without the distortion common to rear projection televisions or TFT monitors, and the 16-to-9 aspect ratio allows movies to be viewed without cropping. The PME-42V3 offers a high contrast ratio of 580-to-1. As a result, images are much brighter and more vivid than other plasma displays currently available.
