Enhanced Qwest Choice TV Package Offers More High-Definition Program Choices

Phoenix, AZ - Qwest Communications International Inc. recently announced that it has added new high-definition (HD) programming to its Qwest Choice TV video offering in Phoenix. The new channels offer a wide variety of programming, including Fox Sports Net (FSN) Arizona, Universal HD, Golf/VERSUS HD, ASUtv and KPHE-TV, to meet the wide range of television viewers' interests.

Qwest Choice HDTV customers with an HD subscription will have access to the new HD channels at no additional charge. The other channels will be available to all Qwest Choice TV customers.

"This expansion of Qwest Choice TV programming gives customers access to an even broader programming lineup – both local and high-definition," said Pat Quinn, state president for Qwest in Arizona. "Offering even more local and high-definition television programming is another example of Qwest's commitment to providing customers with everything they need to stay connected to the people and things important to them at a great value."

The Phoenix Suns announced that all Suns games for the 2007-2008 season will be telecast in HD. The Suns will be the first NBA team and first team in Arizona to broadcast an entire season in HD.

Following is information about each of the new Choice TV channels:

FSN Arizona is the exclusive cable television home of the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Coyotes, Arizona Cardinals, Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Arizona Rattlers and Phoenix Mercury.

Universal HD features exclusive, award-winning blockbuster films; premier sporting events including the US Open; and critically acclaimed performance arts and entertainment.

Golf/VERSUS HD is a hybrid channel that features programming from both the Golf Channel and VERSUS. The Golf Channel features an HD programming schedule with more live golf coverage than any other network. VERSUS HD is the premier network for exclusive live events (including the NHL) and original shows covering competition in a widescreen HD format that gives viewers a whole new perspective.

ASUtv offers a variety of educationally rich programming with local interest stories as well as stories based in remote locations worldwide in conjunction with Arizona State University.

KPHE offers Spanish-language family-oriented programming dedicated to Arizona's mostly Mexico-based Hispanic population. The station also is the exclusive local broadcast home to Spanish-language broadcasts of 50 of the Arizona Diamondbacks' home games during the 2007 season.
