Odetics BroadcastVisual Asset Manager is a video browsing system that allows users to access, see, and hear the entire media database from the convenience of PC workstations. The system stores compressed proxies of all the online and archived video-material in a facility, enabling the storage of thousands of hours of video material. All are instantly available on the desktop PC screen, and all with frame accurate video and stereo audio, important for precise timing, trimming and cueing. The system allows access and viewing of video material that is archived several storage levels away from online playback.
With its Application Programming Interface (API), the system can be tightly integrated into current facility management systems. APIs are available for recording, browsing, and editing on the system. The system automatically creates a browsing copy of the material by shadowing normal dubbing operations. The system integrates with the SpotBank Automation system and Roswell Facility Management System.
