Artel's new VPS-9 Video Protection Switch is designed to reliably control redundancy switching of video transport circuits. This unique product enables telecommunications service providers to cost-effectively transport analog or digital video over dark fiber links with full redundancy and automatic protection switching while maximizing channel count on limited fiber availability. This solution meets the RS250c performance measurements and can be configured for up to 64 channels when using Artel's DigiLink 8000 multichannel transport system.
Critical video transport applications require redundancy and automatic switching to assure video content reaches its destination. The VPS-9 provides a high level of protection for video transport circuits. Configuration flexibility is a common requirement when designing transport circuits. Both analog and digital video need equal treatment without installing separate analog/digital circuits.
