Clipbox is a feat of engineering ingenuity – the ultimate application for Quantel's unique true random access disk technology, delivering a centralised, no-copy, server architecture.

Clipbox provides multiple user access to the same material at the same time – all the time. This dedicated server has the power to operate eight ports completely non-compressed for those applications where quality is the critical factor. In compressed mode the number of ports can expand to a massive 14.

Storage is complemented by equally impressive bandwidth. Multiple redundant disk arrays, proven on-air technology and robust system-build all deliver exceptionally high levels of reliability while simultaneous EDL handling and fast auto-conforms enhance productivity.

Editing directly within the server – a concept known as embedded editing – is a unique feature of Clipbox that ensures the fastest possible production workflow.
