Continuous Rotation ENG Central Receive System

RF Technology annonunces the introduction of the most innovative ENG central receive system available. The system includes several features that greatly reduce the time and expense of installation and the need for maintenance. Key to the ability of RF Technology to introduce such innovations is the fact that all of the major sub-systems (antenna, receiver and control system) are designed, manufactured and supported by one company - RF Technology.

Control/monitoring of the antenna sub-system is via a serial digital connection that is mulitplexed on to the RF signal cable; prime power supply is also multiplexed on to the RF cable to eliminate the need for any additional multi-conductor cabling or multi-contact slip rings, and greatly reduce installation and wiring time and the need to continually maintain a slip-ring assembly.

The continuous rotation positioner features an optical encoder for feedback of azimuth to provide unmatched accuracy, in addition a sealed stepper motor drive assembly is utilized that requires no maintenance.

Another major advance is the introduction of a combined one rack unit high local control / slave unit. The unit provides complete local control and monitoring over all aspects of the system as well as an interface to a remote master control system, and saves the user precious rack space.

The entire system is controlled and monitored via our own Windows (TM), PC based software system. The software provides an easy-to-use, intuitive interface and includes options for touchscreen control, display of received video via an independently sizable window, a full automatic GPS tracking facility and a comprehensive map based interface.

Additional system features include built-in lightening and transient protection, as well as the option for additional filtering to eliminate interference from PCS and spread spectrum transmissions.
