Dual Wide Screen 7" rackmount LCD
Marshall Electronics Inc. of Culver City, California is introducing the latest addition to its VR Series, the V-R72P, a dual wide screen 7" rackmountable LCD panel with a built-in signal router/sequential switcher.
The V-R72P fits neatly into a durable steel and aluminum casing. Like its predecessor, the V-R53P (triple 5" LCD), this unit also fits into a EIA standard rack 3 spaces high and has the unique tilt feature that allows the unit to tilt up or down for optimum viewing angle. This unit measures 19" W × 5.14" H and only a mere 2.5" deep.
Each of the LCD panels on the V-R72P are 16:9 widescreen panels with 1440 × 234 pixels of resolution, making this a true high resolution broadcast quality unit. Each panel can switch between 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios. The unit also has built-in six-channel, three-speed signal router and sequential switcher with automatic signal recognition. Each of the six channels has loop-through capability. The unit also has two monitor outputs which will route whatever appears on the screens to another monitor or recording device.
Its compact size and low power consumption (12VDC @ 2.0Amps)makes this an ideal unit for remote broadcast applications where space and power is a concern. Also, unlike CRT monitors, this unit produces very little heat and can remain on for long periods of time with absolutely no monitor burn-in memory effects. These units are available in NTSC or PAL format. An SDI version will be available later this year.
The V-R72P is the perfect solution for remote and on-site broadcast monitoring or security applications.
