James L. Fisher began his career in the Motion Picture Industry in 1938 at MGM Laboratories. In 1946 while working at the Republic Studios sound department he saw a need for better equipment to ease the tasks of production personnel. Using this concept he went into business for himself in 1951, manufacturing lightweight Microphone Booms and Bases.

Over forty years later this philosophy still drives the entire organization. Cur Camera Dollies, Microphone Booms, Bases and Accessories are recognized as the best in the Industry today.
