About Us
The three major revenue opportunities of virtual advertising addressed by PVI's broadcast services are:
- Virtual signage: Targets the $18 billion sport advertising market.
- Game and event enhancements: Sponsored first down and virtual strike zones
- Virtual product placement: For TV movies, sit-coms and syndication.
Insertions can be video, 3D animated effects and still images and have interactive elements. All are performed using PVI's patented hardware and software technology, which covers all video platforms, including streaming video.
PVI markets these services directly in the US and via affiliates in the rest of world.
PVI's technology appeared at Super Bowl XXXIII and is used by major broadcasters including ESPN, CBS, ABC, Fox, Global (Canada), Televisa (Mexico), RTBF, VTM (Belgium) and SABC (South Africa).
The NFL International, Major League Baseball, Indy Racing League, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Adidas, Heineken, Visa, Gateway 2000, and Yahoo are among the many companies that have embraced the technology.
For fiscal 1999, PVI's annual revenues were up 76% to 1.2 million from the prior fiscal year. Fiscal 1999 4th quarter revenues increased by 109% from the prior year. Year over year quarterly revenue has grown for each of the last 13 quarters.
