Sierra Video Systems is renowned for its technical expertise in designing and manufacturing routing switchers. "Routers" lie at the heart of every television studio and movie production house. They direct signals passing from cameras and microphones to destinations, such as monitors, recorders and directly to what the audience sees on their screen. Our routers are also used in churches, universities and flight simulators.

Founded in 1984 by engineers frustrated by development barriers from the large corporations they worked for, Sierra Video has grown to employ more than thirty people in its Gold Flat facility, with several hundred representatives selling its products worldwide. One of the largest employers in Nevada County, its products are known for their dependability and value: many have been in constant operation for over a decade.
