Advantech Wireless today launched its new VR7400C VSAT Router.

Montreal, QC (PRWEB) - Advantech Wireless, a global leader for High Throughput Satellite (HTS) broadband communications solutions, today launched its new VR7400C VSAT Router.

“Broadcasters, cellular network providers, government and corporate markets are looking for more flexibility and capability from their satellite routers,” said John Landovskis, Vice President, product line management and business development for satellite networking products at Advantech Wireless. “The VR7400C is a big step forward to meet the expanding need for high bandwidth and carrier grade operational flexibility in cellular backhauling, broadcast operations, and corporate and government video. This technology will be a powerful new asset as satellite operators migrate from traditional architectures to the HTS networks that are coming on line in 2016 and beyond.”

Building capabilities on the recently announced VR7400, this new router is able to support a wide range of critical applications. This VSAT router enables internet/intranet access, videoconferencing, video streaming, backup services, video-on-demand, distance learning, multicasting, and Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) trucks for broadcasters and is also able to support efficient 3G/4G and LTE cellular backhauling.

The router is able to optimize 3G and 4G traffic in order to use the minimum required bandwidth over the satellite link. Using Advantech Wireless’ award winning A-SAT-II technology, the transmission waveform and access scheme is dynamically switched based on the type of traffic being carried in the network. The waveform is selected between Multi-Frequency Time Division Multiple Access (MF-TDMA), Single Channel Per Carrier (SCPC) and the patented Burst Mode Frequency Division Multiple Access (BM-FDMA) waveform.

This built-in waveform switching capability (A-SAT-II) ensures the router can easily be adapted to all applications without any issues; It can be connected to a Local Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) or host computer. The VR7400C also supports satellite connection protocols for high bandwidth applications in enterprise, broadcast and government sectors.

Advantech Wireless has been recognized as VSAT Manufacturer of the Year during the VSAT Global Conference 2015 in London.
