Avid Technology Debuts Web-based Self-Service Knowledge Center

Tewksbury, MA-based Avid Technology has launched a new web-based knowledge management system (http://support01.avid.com) providing 24/7 Internet tech support for its customers.

The new Avid Knowledge Center provides product and release information, news flashes, FAQs, technical bulletins and tips, a customer support center, discussion threads, document review cycle that updates information at regular intervals, and an expert network that allows users to communicate with product engineers, content creators or the general customer support line.

Purchasers of Avid's Assurance contract have full access to the Avid Knowledge Center. Other customers and prospects can access a number of free sections on the site including critical downloads, known bugs, general product information, and discussion groups.
