VideoBank Adds Functionality with New Modules Introduced at NAB 2000
VideoBank facilitates the storage, retrieval, transmission and presentation of video clips, spots and programs. The system offers operators advanced search capabilities based on user definable key words and attributes. Running on a standard PC workstation, VideoBank supports multiple storage options, virtually limitless networking, and enables remote browsing and playback via integral web-based interface.
The new modules being launched at NAB 2000 include:
Video-Touch - Ideal for distance learning, Video-Touch makes it easy to present video and images in a user friendly environment. Thumbnail images of video files are activated by a simple touch of a standard touch screen or remote touch panel. Playlists of pre-arranged sequences are accessed via a dropdown list. The sequences can be altered by simply clicking on the desired thumbnail. Video-Touch supports MPEG-1 and MPEG-2, composite, component and serial digital outputs.
Video-Deposit Capture Software - Software package enables images to be captured digitally in real time and added to the database. Images are then linked to the relational database and categorized with the user defined criteria. Video-Deposit Capture software supports composite, component and serial digital inputs. Supported image file formats include BMP, TIFF and JPEG.
Video-Withdrawal Playlist Producer - Video-Withdrawal enables playlists to be created from the video stored in the database for future playout. Once identified and saved, the playlist can be recalled and viewed on the VGA display. Video-Withdrawal interfaces to MPEG decoders for NTSC and PAL broadcast quality output.
Video-Express - Video-Express serves as a distribution engine to facilitate the point-to-point transmission of short-format audio/video segments. The software engine utilizes common PC based computer systems for distribution via the "PUSH" or "PULL" methods of sending and receiving content.
Web-Express - Web enabled video database that allows cross platform compatibility between PC, Mac, and UNIX based systems. VideoBank's Web enabled video database allows registered users to enjoy global access to search databases on an Intranet or Internet via a standard browser. Ad Agencies, post production facilities and corporate users that are maintaining video libraries for their clients, will now be cross platform compatible for browsing and searching via the web.
VideoBank Production Suite - VideoBank's Production Suite includes MPEG editing and transcoding software, segment capture and a storyboard option. The MPEG editing and transcoding software is based on integrated Mediaware Solutions M2-EDIT™ and supports frame accurate or fast GOP accurate editing.
VideoBank's Segment Capture enables segments to be captured digital in real time while the digital video is played. Segments are linked to the relational database and categorized with user defined criteria. They can be searched and added to a playlist for playout to any editing system or VTR.
The Storyboard option provides the archive and retrieval of images captured directly from the video content stored in VideoBank.
