BluFocus Approved As First UHD Alliance Authorized Test Center (ATC)

UHDA (Ultra HD Alliance) approves BluFocus as the first UHDA ATC (Authorized Test Center) for testing UHD Displays.

North Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) - BluFocus Inc., a leading testing and certification company for the home entertainment industry, announced today it has been approved as the first UHDA Approved Test Center (ATC) for conducting Ultra HD display performance testing.

As a UHDA ATC, BluFocus will ensure that UHD displays meet the standards and performance requirements detailed in the UHDA Test Specifications before they can carry the UHDA logo. Skilled test engineers using highly specialized test equipment, which include signal generators, spectroradiometers and custom test patterns, will conduct the compliance testing.

To ensure the most accurate and efficient testing results, BluFocus has selected the Photo Research Inc. SpectraScan® Spectroradiometer PR-740 as one of its primary testing tools. In addition to this, to ensure that the test patterns are displayed correctly and that all appropriate metadata information is sent to the displays under test, BluFocus has selected the Astrodesign Inc. VG-876 signal generator. These tools meet the stringent requirements and tolerances of the UHDA and provide very accurate and efficient testing results.
