Broadcast Automation System
Based on CJDS's Engine-Client-Server architecture, MCAS-IV allows users to view and edit schedules, manage media, and perform machine control from any Windows NT workstation on the network. A unique operator interface provides information and control features specific to broadcast automation. The system uses an integrated database based on Oracle and standard Internet protocol messaging to provide a seamless, real-time interface between traffic and automation.
Featuring a modular design, MCAS-IV operates on PC workstations connected via a high-speed network. Modules currently available include schedule automation, traffic
interface, master client, materials database, video archive, and schedule editing and viewing options. With MCAS-IV's open architecture, users purchase only the system modules they require and can expand their capabilities at any time simply by purchasing the new module and updating MCAS-IV's configuration data.
