Shake is a high speed compositing software optimized for large image resolutions, yet without the need for specialized hardware. Designed for quality, speed and efficiency processes and manipulates high volumes of large images while maintaining the greatest degree of quality.

Shake is an extremely high-speed image processing tool offering a range of 2D features for film, broadcast, interactive games and multimedia effects applications. Shake merges compositing, color correction, image manipulation and special effects tools to enable the creation of compelling imagery. It is currently available as either a GUI or a command-line tool kit (C/C++ style scripting language) and runs on both UNIX and NT platforms.
