Datatek Corp
Datatek was formed in May, 1970 and began the design and manufacture of high quality equipment for both the broadcast and non-broadcast video and audio industries.
The initial products were associated with signal correction in video broadcast transmitters. Over the years, as these facilities became integral to transmitter designs, the product emphasis moved to signal distribution, specializing in routing systems, from small to large, for all signal formats.
Datatek introduced its first "large" routing switcher, the D-400 in 1974, followed by the D-2000 in 1979, the D-2400 in 1988 and the D-2800 in 1994. The D-2800, in particular, has been continuously improved, so that matrix density is double its initial design. Today, with 30 years of progressive experience, Datatek supplies and supports its many systems throughout the world, wherever highest quality performance is required. Major installations exist in broadcast, cable, production, mobile and telecommunications systems.
Starting in a small facility in Union, New Jersey, in 1970, the Datatek plant is now a modern facility in Mountainside, New Jersey, where state of the art design, manufacture and test techniques are used.
Datatek is committed to using its experience to provide a continuous flow of innovative new products and services for its customers.
