It delivers advanced functionality and performance to digital content creators in the film, broadcast, video, and the games and interactive media markets.

Paint Effects is a unique artist's tool for the nearly instant creation and animation of organic and painterly effects. A major feature of Paint Effects is the library of 2D and 3D preset brushes. These editable, pressure sensitive brushes are used to create a virtually unlimited number and variety of real and surreal organic forms such as hair, trees, flowers, feathers, fire, lightning and stars. There are also natural artists' media such as airbrushes, chalks, pastels, crayons, watercolors and oil paint.

Another major focus of Alias|Wavefront, a division of Silicon Graphics Limited to provide additional tools for the entire game development process. New features such as Level of Detail support, polygon reduction and a mouse-based camera walkthrough mode are provided in addition to performance and feature enhancements in polygon, NURBS and subdivision surface modeling.
