Draco Merges with Manufacturing Partner MacroSystem Digital Video AG

<%=company1%> (Boulder, CO), distributor of the Casablanca digital video editing systems in the Americas, says it is merging with its manufacturing partner, Wetter, Germany-based MacroSystem Digital Video AG.

Draco will remain an independent, US-based corporation, but will be known as a MacroSystem Company. Draco's chief product, the "Casablanca" emerged from a concept of a "nonlinear video editing system in a box." MacroSystem developed and manufactures Casablanca, which has reached worldwide sales of 40,000 since its market introduction in 1997.

"Our ties to MacroSystem have always been very close," says Eric Kloor, president of Draco. "With this merger, Draco will be even more involved in product development and the exploration of strategic growth opportunities for the two entities."
