With our Grass Valley™ FeedClip™ interactive feed capture system, you can turn around live events faster than in an all-tape environment. You can mark clips on the fly with a single keystroke, make them available for editing, and get them to air fast.

Key Features

Easy to use even in pressure situations. FeedClip has been optimized for ease of use even in pressure situations. The user interface consists of a single tabbed window that let's you move quickly from recording to playback and from one channel to another.

Trim and play clips without running to the edit bay. Much more than a disk-based replacement for your feed recording tape decks, FeedClip lets you create clips on the fly and perform frame-accurate trimming of audio and video. Clips can be played back either one at a time or back-to-back in selected groups.

Retro Mark Recording. FeedClip's Retro Mark feature lets you specify an amount of time to capture automatically prior to a mark in point. When monitoring a live, fast-moving hockey game, for example, you can never predict the exact moment when the puck the is going to fly into the goal. With FeedClip, simply preset a reaction time of five or ten seconds. When the puck glides into the goal, simply press Mark In. FeedClip captures not only the actual goal, but also the five or ten preceding seconds of setup and assists. This feature gives you unprecedented speed and flexibility for creating sports highlight packages.

Mix feed material with fresh local footage. FeedClip supports seamless integration with the NewsEdit nonlinear editor, allowing you to send feed material to multiple systems simultaneously. FeedClip also gives you the option of adding handles automatically to extracted clips - providing editors with extra material for adjusting edit points or adding transition effects.

Interoperability. FeedClip is easily networked, via high-speed networking, with the NewsEdit™ nonlinear editor, NewsQ™ manual playback system, and automated playback devices, including the Profile® XP Media Platform.
