Jim Fitzpatrick and Robert Timpone have joined A. F. Associates, Inc. (AFA), a leading systems integrator servicing domestic and international clients

Jim Fitzpatrick and Robert Timpone have joined A. F. Associates, Inc. (AFA), a leading systems integrator servicing domestic and international clients.

Jim Fitzpatrick has been appointed director, project development. He most recently served as director of systems engineering for The Whitlock Group, a systems integrator. An accomplished industry veteran with 33 years of technical, operational and sales management experience in broadcast systems, Fitzpatrick has been instrumental in the design and integration of numerous television stations throughout the United States. His responsibilities will encompass the facilitation of the entire project process from development to engineering to project management.

Fitzpatrick previously held the position of director of systems integration for Digital Video Systems as well as senior level positions at Professional Communications Systems and MVS Technical.

A member of SMPTE and SBE, he and his wife, Nancy are residents of Tampa, Florida and are the parents of two daughters, Tiffany and Corrine.

Robert Timpone, a broadcast engineer for more than 20 years and former director of new technology for The Whitlock Group, has joined AFA as a senior engineering consultant. His accomplishments include extensive work in video compression, broadband projects and computer systems. He is a member of several Internet 2 workgroups with emphasis on transporting video over the next generation Internet. His previous experience includes Vela Research and Home Shopping Network.

Timpone is a resident of Clearwater, Florida where he lives with his wife Lauren and their children, Danny and Kelsey.
