Front Porch, ManagedStorage to market digital archive, storage platform to broadcasters

Front Porch Digital and ManagedStorage International (Broomfield, CO) have announced that both companies will market each other's services to TV broadcasters and other worldwide markets.

Cherry Hill, NJ-based Front Porch (FPDI) provides conversion services for digital archiving, while ManagedStorage offers storage services to Internet providers. Together the two will offer a one-stop system for converting, indexing, archiving, storing and managing TV and film libraries. "The agreement enables FPDI to quickly penetrate the lucrative TV and film market with our new technology," said Jean Reiczyk, FPDI chairman and CEO.

ManagedStorage and FPDI also plan to offer similar one-stop systems to financial, commercial and industrial companies that need to manage large data libraries. Both companies will work on developing new conversion-storage products and services that will focus on additional document management solutions targeted at high storage growth industries.
