Harmonic, MoreCom to Offer Internet and Enhanced TV Access

MoreCom Inc. (Horsham, PA) and Harmonic Inc. (Chicago) are working together to deliver MoreCom's Broadband Internet and Enhanced TV (eTV) services over Harmonic's digital cable headend.

"The TRANsend and MoreCom solution enables content migration towards interactive TV whereby broadcast video and HTML content, synchronized with the broadcast video programming, can be delivered over one network, HFC, and simultaneously displayed on one platform, the TV," said Colin Boyd, Harmonic's vice president of North American sales and worldwide marketing.

MoreCom is a provider of complete end-to-end software and service solutions to merge digital video with Internet content for television. Harmonic designs, manufactures, and markets digital- and lightwave-based products for broadband delivery systems.
