Communications & Power Industries, Inc., Eimac Divisionf the (K2)2 IOT (Inductive Output Tube) power amplifiers for UHF broadcast TV is the K2 Klystrode IOT coupled with Eimac's compact, ergonomic cavity hardware assembly. New to the (K2)2 is an advanced Electro-Magnetic-Compatibility (EMC) designed input circuit, which isolates the RF input from the transmitter DC high voltage.

The (K2)2 input circuit has a stable, out-of-the-way storage position and utilizes a new cam-guided insertion mechanism to ensure positive connection to the IOT every time. Additionally, IOT cathode and cavity cooling is more efficient because of the new air plenum design. The (K2)2 system collector down design and breech lock ejector system makes tube replacement a simple matter for one person without requiring winches or removing the cavity assembly from the transmitter cabinet.

(K2)2 IOT power amplifiers are available for both NTSC and digital operation in peak power levels from 30 to 100 kW. All the company's K2 IOT power amplifiers are designed and manufactured in the U.S.A. All field service and factory support is U.S. based.
