Joker 1200

The Joker 1200, like all Joker type fixtures is a PAR (64) using a specular parabolic reflector. This unit illustrates very well the intentions of K5600 Inc. to design for maximum compactness. Every design effort was focused on the same ultimate goal: a 1200 complete kit capable to travel in one case weighing less than the airline luggage maximum of 70 lbs. The final version reaches 68 lbs, complete with head, ballast, set of four lenses, barndoor, lamp transportation box, 50' extension cable and ATA grade shipping container. This challenge was achieved by re-thinking completely this very popular fixture: Philips was contacted to supply a modified version of their MSR 1200. The lamp is now referenced as MSR 1200 HR/C and resembles a regular MSR without the heavy ceramic base and brass contacts. The Joker 1200 striker uses a very compact and simplified ignitor circuit. The head feeder and extension cables are very light and small, due to a design simplification. The Power Supply is designed to our specifications to operate with maximum reliability in our system. The Joker 1200 system is a very rugged instrument for rental companies.

SPECIFICATIONS:

• Lamp Housing: Steel spinning, high temperature epoxy light gray finish, with cooling/light baffle aluminum casting in high temperature black epoxy.
  
• Lamp Socket: Terminal leads on adapter plate supported by rails and connector pins for quick and safe change of lamp through back door.
  
• Reflector: 8" diameter specular parabolic. Aluminum with 90% reflectance, electrolytically coated.
  
• Protective front Glass: Borosilicate UV filter tempered.
  
• Micro-Switch: Mechanically connected to back door.
  
• ON/OFF: Either from head or ballast.
  
• Yoke: Aluminum casting black epoxy finish. Large T handle and large brake area for use of front end Lightbanks, Speed Rings and Louvers.
