Microtek Announces Cineon Line Of Plasma HDTVs
Carson, CA and Las Vegas - Microtek, a manufacturer of digital imaging products, has announced the launch of the new Cineon line of flat-panel plasma TVs by Microtek in the United States through its North American subsidiary Microtek Lab, Inc. These HDTVs are designed for custom home-theater installations. The first two products in the Cineon line are the 42-inch CP42HA plasma HDTV and the 50-inch CP50HA plasma HDTV which were showcased at the Microtek suite at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas on January 8, 9, and 10 during the 2007 International CES.

Input Connections and Video Signals
The Cineon HDTVs by Microtek offer a full array of input options that allow you to connect several devices to the HDTV to create a comprehensive media center. These input connections include antenna ports for analog NTSC and digital ATSC tuners, composite video, S-video, component video (YPbPr), computer RGB via VGA port, and HDMI for 100% digital data transmission. Using advanced scaler technology, these HDTVs accept and accurately display video at 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i.
Design and Specifications for Cineon Line The Cineon HDTVs by Microtek have a high-gloss piano-black case and come with detachable speakers and base. The 42-inch CP42HA model has a 1024 by 768 native resolution, 1300 cd/m(2) brightness, and 10,000:1 contrast ratio. The 50-inch CP50HA model has a 1366 by 768 native resolution, 1000 cd/m(2) brightness, and 8,000:1 contrast ratio. Factory calibration for each TV sets the optimum picture quality for a typical home viewing environment. Custom calibration can be achieved through on screen menus which allow you to fine tune brightness, contrast, sharpness, color saturation, and color balance by remote control for a specific viewing environment.
