Midwest Gets First HD Production Facility

PPS, a Cincinnati-based post production facility, has purchased Sony HDCAM and Discreet's Fire HD equipment, marking the introduction of HDTV production in the Midwest. PPS now offers local and national clients the opportunity to shoot, edit and graphically enhance HD productions.

The company's first HD production is a documentary on horse breeding produced by Michael Breeding, executive producer and director of Americana Productions of Lexington, KY.

Fletcher Chicago supplied the HD equipment. PPS was founded by Bob Gerding in 1981.
