The DPS Personal TBC IV-PLUS is the latest in a series of time base corrector cards from the company that invented the Personal TBC, Digital Processing Systems. Utilizing component digital 4:2:2 processing, the TBC IV features composite and wideband S-Video (Y/C) inputs and outputs, the TBC IV-PLUS contains a 3-line adaptive comb filter decoder for the composite input making this model suitable for use with U-Matic-SP VCRs and as a TBC/Synchronizer. Whether used in an AMIGA or IBM PC compatible computer or mounted in a DPS ES-2000 series rackmount expansion chassis, the TBC IV is a capable performer.

The DPS Personal TBC IV is fully compatible with previous DPS Personal Series products including the Personal TBC II, TBC III and V-Scope. It can be controlled using the standard AmigaDOS, MS-DOS and Windows control software or via a DPS RC-2000 or RC-2001 multi-channel remote control unit. Adjustments include full proc amp and color balance, horizontal & vertical Y/C delay, freeze field, freeze frame, variable strobe, film-mode strobe, GPI freeze, memory store/recall and genlock timing.

When combined with a DPS Personal Animation Recorder, the Personal TBC IV takes on an entirely different role. The TBC IV functions as a live video capture board for the DR-2100 and DR-2150 PAR cards. A digital CVE (Component Video Exchange) port is provided on the TBC IV which connects to a matching header on the PAR card. With this combination, you can record live video on the animator's hard drive in real time.
