Monitoring System

The SDM-560 is a monitoring solution for broadcast and video production facilities undergoing the analog-to-digital technology transition. It is a true digital monitoring system designed to simplify the monitoring for busy engineers by providing simple setup, and comprehensive operation and control, all at a very competitive list price.

It expands on the patented technologies of Magni's AVM-510 product, and provides Composite, S-video and SD 601 (525/625) display outputs for monitoring Serial Digital 601 or Composite analog signals. It features an on-screen display of picture, waveform, vector, audio and digital readouts. The on-screen display outputs can be routed to any point within or outside the studio for archive or display.

The new SDM-560 provides three choices for handling audio. It can monitor and display, on the same multi-window screen, amplitudes of embedded SDI audio, separate AES-3, or four channels of analog audio. Two front panel, ¼" phone jacks are also provided for aural monitoring. The product is a two RU height unit with internal fan cooling and an internal power supply drawing less than 100 VA.
