MYB-2 StereoMaxx Spatial Imaging
StereoMaxx is not a loudness processor but is designed to work with other processing the station may use. It lets the user control three aspects of a station's stereo image: Width, Depth and Diffusion, which shape and color a distinctive stereo image and unique station sound. Adjustments are non-critical and can be made while on-air. An Automatic Width Limiting circuit monitors audio to avoid over-enhancing music which already has wide stereo separation.
StereoMaxx does not change the L-R relationships, does not cause problems even when heard on monaural equipment, and will not increase multipath problems. It is easy to set up and operate and can be installed anywhere between the on-air console PGM output and the transmitter, generally at the output of the on-air console, before other processing and before the studio- transmitter link.
Many stations across the U.S. and even in other countries have used StereoMaxx successfully to create a unique, signature sound. Stations find that once they begin using StereoMaxx...all the other stations in town sound weak and ordinary.
