JVC Professional Products Companyamcorder is the company's latest addition to its D-9 product line-up. The camcorder offers 14-bit digital signal processing, 4:2:2 sampling and 50 Mbps data rate and uses the latest ½-inch CCD technology with CCD micro lens technology.
The camcorder weighs about 15 pounds, making it competitive with 6mm formats. It offers 4-channel audio sampled at 16 bit, 48KHz. Loaded with lens and viewfinder, the DY-70 will be comparably priced to the company's DY-700, which it replaces.
