BUF Technologye 3264 Visual Presentation Controller provides a combination of manual and automatic control of video sources for large multi-projector presentations. ShowCase is able to control up to six Folsom Research VFC-2200 Dual Video Format Converters and a wideband component video router for unsurpassed control of large presentations.

ShowCase is designed to support up to 32 component video sources which can be comprised of any mix of formats including; NTSC, PAL, 720p and
1080i HDTV, various computer formats, and any other video format up to 1280 lines of resolution. To provide an optimum match to high resolution video projectors, video outputs can be set independently to any progressive or interlace scanned RGB format up to 1280 x 1080 pixels.

BUF Technologye user can independently specify input and output aspect ratios to assure correct geometry, especially when working with mixed aspect ratio signals. Operating similarly to a production switcher, pictures can be synchronously switched, mixed, or wiped together, and resized and superimposed in window form. ShowCase supports input pan and zoom allowing the user to enlarge and crop sources. ShowCase manual control is fast and straightforward and includes the ability to recall complex preprogrammed sequences. The powerful sequencing system operates either fully automatically or with semiautomatic break point triggering. Sequence break points are triggered by keystroke, contact closure GPIs, or by other devices via RS-422 or RS-232. Sequences can be nested to allow preprogrammed combinations to be used repeatedly during a presentation. Tally relays are provided to signal on-air inputs.
