NewsEdit™ Nonlinear Editor - Built For Speed And Workflow Efficiency. Tuned For News.
We designed our Grass Valley™ NewsEdit™ nonlinear editor specifically for cuts-only editing bays. With no pre-digitization requirement, it's twice as fast as other nonlinear systems, letting you record directly from tape to timeline and view edits on the fly—just like a tape-to-tape edit bay.
Key Features
Simple to use even for non-technical personnel. Virtually all editing is done in a single window and, uniquely, the user interface changes automatically to provide editors with the tools needed for every type of edit, making the edit session faster and more productive.
View edits in progress. NewsEdit lets you see your edits as they are being made. You do not have to play back an edit just to check it. As a result, Vibrint NewsEdit is twice as fast as other non-linear editors.
Seamless integration with leading newsroom computing systems including Avid iNews and AP ENPS. Editors can view text scripts and rundowns on a NewsEdit system alongside the edit timeline, ensuring that shot-to-text timing is accurate and allow Editors to monitor news rundowns.
Standards-based platform. NewsEdit runs on the an Intel Pentium computer platform that relies on MPEG2 video, the Microsoft Windows NT file and operating systems, and standard networking and storage.
Interoperability. NewsEdit is easily networked, via high-speed networking, with other NewsEdit systems, FeedClip™, NewsQ™, and automated playback devices, including the Profile® XP Media Platform.
