Visitors to the Optibase booth on the show floor -- # 2580 will find demonstrations of the MGW 200 single channel streaming appliance, MovieMaker HD real time, hardware-based HD encoder, and MGW 1100 carrier-grade multi-channel streaming appliance.
MGW 200 is the latest addition to Optibase's line of streaming appliances. It is a small, single-channel encoding, decoding and streaming platform ideal for one-way and two-way IP streaming applications such as video contribution, corporate communications and video server upload. It shares the same interface with the MGW 2000e a 6-channel encoding & streaming appliance, which hastens existing integrators time to market. Formally released in July 2005, MGW 200 is designed to combine ease of use together with advanced features and superb video quality for customers in education, enterprise and broadcasting.
Optibase will demonstrate the MovieMaker HD encoding & VideoPlex HD decoding boards that provide real-time, high quality, hardware-based MPEG-2 High Definition encoding and decoding. When combined, these boards give content creators and system integrators unsurpassed control over video quality from encode to final delivery. The MovieMaker 200 HD will enter beta-trials shortly, and will formally be released in late Q3'05. The VideoPlex HD is shipping.
MGW 1100 is the company's multi-channel, carrier-grade, fully-redundant streaming platform.
