Pinnacle Launches Broadcast Production Switcher

<%=company1%> (Mountain View, CA) has entered the broadcast production switcher market with its launch of the PDS 9000.

Occupying 6RU, the PDS9000 features two independent Mix/Effects (M/E) systems and a full-function Program/Preset (PGM/PST) bank with dual downstream keyers (DSKs). Each M/E comes with a 4-bus architecture that includes three integrated 3D DVE channels (one on each of the keyer systems and one for the main transition generator).

The PDS-9000 also includes 36 primary inputs, full RGB and YUV color correction on all six keyer busses, with memory for every input and integration with Pinnacle's DVEXtreme editing system and StreamGenie Internet streaming device. The switcher is also compliant with other Pinnacle systems, including Lightning, Thunder and Deko. The PDS-9000 features 19 multi-page framestores, four source memory buttons and an FX-Memory system, capable of storing up to 100 online effects.

Pinnacle will demo the switcher at NAB2000 and with shipment ready for June 2000.
