For more than a decade Prophet Systems Innovations has been a leader in the development and delivery of digital automation software. The development of Prophet Systems' digital audio software arose from the forward thinking of longtime broadcaster Ray Lockhart and his son, Kevin. Unable to find reliable automation equipment and service, they developed their own automation system, the AudioProphet. In 1993 AudioProphet was converted to a Windows-based system, now known as AudioWizard. Capstar Broadcasting Group purchased Prophet Systems in 1998. Prophet Systems is now a division of Clear Channel Communications, the largest broadcasting company in the world, with over 1400 radio and 19 television stations in the U.S. alone, making Prophet Systems Innovations the undisputed leader in digital automation systems.

Prophet Systems became a major player in digital automation for broadcast during the 1990s with AudioWizard CFS, a new concept utilizing a Central File Server, which enabled Prophet Systems to easily share audio files between several stations. The central file server concept, coupled with the deregulation of radio station ownership in 1996 ensured Prophet Systems' place as the leading digital automation provider in radio group consolidations. The end of the decade marked the introduction of the next generation of digital automation, PSi's NexGen Digital Broadcast, written in the C programming language for maximum flexibility and speed. Today, Prophet Systems is being utilized by many of the biggest names in the industry, in both groups and syndicated shows.
